CoastCom is a privately held Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) based in Newport, Oregon.
Our vision is to deliver advanced fiber optic based telecommunication services to our customers
on the Oregon Coast.
Fiber Optic High Speed Connections
We own fiber optic distribution networks in many coastal communities
and serve as the network operator for Tillamook Lightwave.
In several communities, we are partnered with local government and other public entities to provide
unparalleled access to fiber based high speed connections.

We deliver a broad array of integrated
communications solutions – including transport for Ethernet data, Internet access and IP based
solutions over our fiber network, and in communities where we colocate with the incumbent telephone company,
we offer advanced Ethernet over Copper technologies along with traditional TDM services.
Ocean Cable Landing Station
In 2010, Tillamook Lightwave purchased an ocean cable landing station in Pacific City, OR.
In the future, this station will provide easy access for telecommunications carriers to bring
transoceanic cables on shore that benefit the local economies by both providing jobs and
supporting advanced fiber based network installations that will bring additional speed and
reliability to the coastal region.
Operational in January 2011
The shore station will be managed by CoastCom and will be
operational in January of 2011. It will be connected by path diverse fiber optic cable routes,
one existing route that enters Pacific City from the south and the other is a route purchased
by CoastCom and Tillamook Lightwave in 2009 that runs from Pacific City to Beaverton,
which differs from the very few existing fiber routes between the Portland Metro Area and
the remote communities on the Oregon Coast.

CoastCom is an Authorized Local Distribution Partner and Agent for Light Speed Networks,
which enables us to provide our coastal customers with connection options to hundreds of
locations within their statewide network footprint.
